Zefyr
Setup guide

From installation to the first chat

Five steps that need no developer. If you already have WooCommerce, setup takes a few minutes.

Start for free
  1. 1

Create an account and add the shop

You sign up with your email and add a site with your shop's domain. The dashboard gives you the site key, which starts with zf_sk_.

    • The key works only on the domain you declared
    • If you lose it, you issue a new one from the “Setup” tab

    Install the plugin

You download the plugin from the dashboard's “Setup” tab. In WordPress you go to Plugins → Add New → Upload, choose the file and activate it.

    • WooCommerce must be active
    • No change to any site file is needed

    Connect the shop

After activation the Zefyr screen opens. You paste the key and press “Connect”. If the key is correct, the shop shows as connected.

    • Nothing is sent before this step
    • A shop that was connected reconnects on its own

    Let the first sync finish

Products, pages and recent orders are sent on their own, in the background. Progress shows in the plugin's “Overview” and in the dashboard.

    • A change to a product is sent about a minute later
    • “Sync all now” whenever you want to repeat it

Make it yours and try it

In “Appearance” you set colour, position and greeting. In “Training” you write instructions and a glossary. Then you open the shop and ask the assistant whatever a customer would ask.

    • Live preview before you save
    • Whatever it doesn't answer correctly, you correct from “Conversations”

If something doesn't go as expected

The six things that happen most often, and what to do.

The chat doesn't appear

Check that “Show the chat on the shop” is on in the plugin settings and clear the site's cache.

“The key isn't valid”

Copy it again from the dashboard, whole and without spaces at the start or the end.

“The key was issued for another domain”

The site in the dashboard must have the same domain as the shop. Create a site for the right domain.

The products haven't been sent

Press “Sync all now” in the plugin's “Overview”. Background jobs run when the shop has visits.

The chat stopped answering

Maybe the month's tokens ran out. You can see it in the plugin's “Plans” tab and in the dashboard.

Something else

In the plugin's “Help” tab you copy the diagnostics with one tap and send them to us.

After installation

How long does the first sync take?

It depends on the size of the catalogue. Products are sent in batches and progress shows live, so the chat can already answer for the ones that have arrived.

Do I have to do anything when I change products?

No. Every product you save is sent on its own about a minute later, and the full catalogue check runs at the frequency you've set.

Can I prepare it before customers see it?

Yes. You turn off “Show the chat on the shop” in the plugin settings, prepare the appearance, instructions and glossary while the catalogue syncs, and turn it on when you're ready.

How is the plugin updated?

Like any WordPress add-on, from the “Plugins” screen. If you downloaded it from the dashboard, the dashboard notifies you of every new version and can install it for you.
